Medication information

You may choose to tell us which medication you are using, including the name of a GLP-1 medication such as Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro.

We do not currently collect medication dosage information or information about medical conditions.

Some of this information may constitute health information or other sensitive personal information under applicable data protection law.

Maintain may process information that relates to your health, fitness, weight, nutrition or medication use.

Under UK data protection law, information concerning health can be considered special category data and is subject to additional protections.

We only collect information that is necessary to provide the features of Maintain that you choose to use.

We do not collect medical diagnoses or medication doses.

Maintain is a fitness and wellness app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.

Information and recommendations provided by Maintain should not replace advice from your doctor, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional.

5. How we process your information

We use your information to personalise the Maintain experience.

For example, information about your age, sex, weight, goals, training history and preferences may be used to determine appropriate workout or nutrition recommendations.

Maintain does not currently use AI to make automated medical decisions about you.

6. Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe.

When you purchase Premium, Stripe may process payment and transaction information necessary to complete your purchase and manage your subscription.

We do not store your full payment card details on our own systems.

Stripe may process personal information in accordance with its own privacy practices.

7. Hosting and storage

Maintain uses Bolt Cloud to provide application hosting, database and related infrastructure.

Your Maintain account and app data are stored using the infrastructure supporting our Maintain application.

Bolt states that its platform uses encryption in transit and at rest and provides security controls including authentication and database access controls.

We will update this Privacy Policy if we change our hosting or data-storage providers.

8. Analytics and tracking

We currently do not use third-party analytics services to track how you use Maintain.

We do not use advertising trackers within the Maintain app.

9. Who we share your information with

We only share personal information with service providers where necessary to operate Maintain.

Currently, this includes:

• Bolt Cloud — hosting, database and application infrastructure
• Stripe — payment and subscription processing

We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect the security, rights or property of Maintain or its users.

We do not sell your personal information.

10. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide Maintain and for legitimate business or legal purposes.

If you stop using Maintain, we may continue to retain your information unless you request deletion or we determine that it is no longer necessary.

We are working to provide an in-app account and data deletion feature.

Where applicable, we will consider and process deletion requests in accordance with UK data protection law. The right to erasure is not absolute and certain legal exceptions may apply.
